A fantastic journey on the "Hurtigruten" along Geirangerfjord to Geiranger and back via Hjørundfjord. The tour starts from Skansekaia, Ålesund where you board the Hurtigruten ship. The cruise through Geirangerfjord takes you past the incredible mountain farms and the majestic Seven Sisters waterfall. There is a break of app. 1.5 hours in Geiranger to allow you to explore and enjoy the destination. The route back to Ålesund is first by ferry to Hellesylt, then on by bus through the narrow-sided Norangdal valley to Øye on Hjørundfjord.
Then on board a modern high-speed boat along Hjørundfjord, via Sæbø and Trandal back to Ålesund.
UNESCO placed Geirangerfjord on its World Heritage list in 2005. The pioneering mountaineers Patchell and Slingsby found their paradise in Norangsdal, and Kaiser Wilhelm loved Hjørundfjord above all other fjords. After this tour, you will understand why.

The beauty of the fjords awaits you. The tour will take you to Øye, where you can visit the famous Hotel Union Øye, "a little piece of paradise," where the cream of Europe's aristocracy spent their holidays in the early 1900s.
Øye is an excellent starting point for a hike to the top of Slogen (1564 meters above sea level.) From the top you have panoramic view of the surrounding peaks, emerald green valleys and the magnificent fjords.
