The tour starts from Skansekaia, Ålesund where you board the Hurtigruten ship. The cruise through Geirangerfjord takes you past the incredible mountain farms and the majestic Seven Sisters waterfall. There is a break of app. 1,5 hours in Geiranger to allow you to explore and enjoy the destination. The route back to Ålesund is first by ferry to Hellesylt, then on by bus through the narrow-sided Norangsdal valley to Øye on Hjørundfjord.
Then on board a modern high-speed boat along Hjørundfjord, via Sæbø and Trandal back to Ålesund.
UNESCO placed Geirangerfjord on its World Heritage list in 2005. The pioneering mountaineers Patchell and Slingsby found their paradise in Norangsdal, and Kaiser Wilhelm loved Hjørundfjord above all other fjords. After this tour, you will understand why.
